GHOSTING STORIES
2020
During October 2020 I launched my project “Ghosting Stories” on IGTV. This campy and spooky series explored the HORROR of rejection…via the dramatic retelling of real stories about real people being ghosted. The thing about ghosting that sucks the most is the lack of closure, so these encounters haunt us the most. Silence can be killer. Gather your wits and gather ‘round the campfire for bone-chilling tales of energy vampire exes, abandoned subleases, thirst traps, and more! It’s time to give up the ghost.
This project was heavily inspired by my love of horror comedies, like the movies Scream and What We Do in the Shadows, as well as influences from my childhood like Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Daniel Handler’s A Series of Unfortunate Events series and R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series. In this project I acted as art director, writer, director, stop motion animator, and performer. I also had some amazing collaborators! Here they are:
